Course Overview

This role exists across public, private, and voluntary sectors, wherever training and This role exists across public, private, and voluntary sectors, including healthcare, education, business, manufacturing, and more—anywhere learning and development are needed.
The main purpose is to support individuals or groups in reaching their learning and development goals through effective mentoring. Mentors work within ethical and legal guidelines and collaborate with others to meet the unique needs of each mentee.
They act as the “knowledgeable other” in their field and may mentor face-to-face or remotely in a variety of settings. They regularly interact with professionals at all levels, including managers, trainees, and external support services.
Learning and Skills Mentors are responsible for managing mentoring relationships, supporting mentee progression, and maintaining best practices, often working independently while meeting organisational and professional standards.

Learning and Assessment

Each apprentice will have their own dedicated tutor who will conduct monthly remote tutorials and reviews, providing continuous support throughout the apprenticeship program. Depending on the apprentice’s needs, the frequency of these sessions may vary.

End Point Assessment

Each apprentice must undergo an independent end-point assessment to determine the outcome of their apprenticeship. The assessments will evaluate the knowledge, skills and behaviours gained during their programme. The methods in which this apprenticeship is assessed are:
